Employment & Adult Learning
Working and wellbeing go hand-in-hand. Having a job, learning a new skill or volunteering gives us a greater sense of identity, purpose and a sense of achievement. It also allows us to get out into the community, meet new people and make new friends.
Our Employment and Adult Learning service is designed to help people get back into work and learn new skills. Whether you have been off work for some time and are looking to re-enter the workforce, or are simply keen to get a fresh start, upskill, or find out about volunteering, we can help.
I was so nervous about re-entering the workforce after so many years off that I felt physically sick just thinking about it. After talking to a wellbeing advisor, and attending a couple of practical skills courses, I had the confidence and tools necessary to get out there and land a job that I love.
What we offer:
- A range of practical programmes and courses
- Full programme of life skills workshops
- Volunteering opportunities
- Employment support
- CV writing and refining
- Help with applying for work and preparing for interviews
- Tips and practical tools to build confidence, self-esteem and motivation
